    O’Neil Broyard was the cousin of the now deceased former New York Times literary critic Anatole Broyard. Anatole died in 1990 of cancer at the age of 70. O’Neil owned the Saturn bar in New Orleans every since 1960. In 1960 O’Neil was 23 years old young and running his own business. O’Neil died on December 23, 2005. O'Neil and Anatole were both creole.
